This May, we returned for our third year at the spectacular RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and what a magical experience it was. Set within the Royal Hospital grounds, Chelsea is truly one of the most beautiful and inspiring events of the year, where floristry, gardening, and design come together in the most imaginative ways. We were so excited to unveil our newest scarf collection and giftware range, and to debut our bold new Dahlia Wallpaper, which dressed the walls of our stand in full floral splendour.
Chelsea isn’t just a flower show, it’s a world where gardens whisper, flowers sing, and creativity blooms in every corner. Think: intricate show gardens designed to reflect the sound of rain; archways dripping with roses; and arrangements by some of the UK’s most talented botanical minds. We’re always honoured to be part of this vibrant celebration of nature and design.

Our Chelsea journey actually starts long before May. Planning began all the way back in August 2024, with my mum and I (as always) sketching out layouts and testing display options to see how best to present our growing range. From scale drawings to endless reconfigurations in our studio, it takes months of creative thinking, and a good dose of resourcefulness, to bring the stand to life. But somehow, with a lot of laughter, a bit of ingenuity, and plenty of graft, we managed to pull it off.

This year, our stand was a true reflection of everything we love: colour, craftsmanship, and nature. The walls were papered in our brand-new Dahlia Wallpaper, a vivid, joyful design that instantly transformed the space and showed just how well our prints can brighten up a room. We also brought back our signature gold rails, first used back in 2021 at our early pop-ups, which have become a hallmark of how we display our scarves. They’re not just practical, they’re timeless and elegant, and most importantly, reused every time. Sustainability is always in mind at Shaku, even in how we build our stands.
Displayed on those rails were pieces from our latest scarf collection, Scarf Poetry, which will be launching soon online. The feedback was incredible. It was such a joy to see people respond to the softness of the silks and the intricacy of Shakera’s floral designs, and of course, to see them try the scarves on in the mirror and fall in love with the way they draped.
We also introduced two new display units, designed to showcase our growing giftware and homeware collections. From floral fine bone china mugs to cotton tea towels and illustrated notebooks, each piece reflects our signature aesthetic: nature-inspired, artist-led, and always thoughtfully made. Our mugs were a particular favourite, delicate, detailed, and proudly made in Stoke-on-Trent, they added a touch of charm to our stand and sparked many lovely conversations.
And what’s Chelsea without flowers? Our florist, Phil, came in and absolutely transformed the stand with a lush, joyful display of blooms: full-headed peonies, cheerful yellow chrysanthemums, tulips in coral and cream, and wild sprigs tucked throughout. The flowers added the perfect finishing touch, a sense of abundance and celebration that drew people in.

One of the unique aspects of Chelsea is the judging of every stand. We were absolutely over the moon to receive FOUR STARS, our highest rating yet. It felt like a real recognition of all the work, love and attention that goes into what we do.
The week opened with the press and royal preview on Monday, a whirlwind of excitement. We had the honour of seeing both the King and Queen up close, and were surprised by a very special appearance from David Beckham (yes, really!). I even touched his shoulder, does that count as a meet-and-greet? It set a fun, surreal tone that carried through the rest of the week.
From Tuesday onwards, we were delighted to welcome visitors from across the UK and beyond. Whether you’ve known Shaku for years or were discovering us for the first time, thank you for stopping by to chat, try on scarves, browse the mugs, and share your thoughts. One of the biggest hits of the week was our Fairytale Fancy pocket square, a joyful little piece that was picked up by everyone from stylish teens to the most elegant grandmothers. We loved seeing how everyone styled it.

Behind the scenes, my mum and I kept everything running, often in full production-line mode! Our long table, borrowed from her studio (thank you, Mum), proved essential for wrapping, organising, and keeping things flowing. As always, Chelsea is a true team effort, and we are so thankful to our tiny but mighty team, our wonderful customers, and everyone who supported us along the way.
We left the week exhausted but full of joy. To take part in such a celebrated event, to be surrounded by nature and creativity, and to share our work with so many of you, it was everything we could have hoped for.
Here’s to Chelsea 2026, fingers crossed we’ll be back again, with more florals, more magic, and even more to share.
